Hello there everybody! Welcome back to a new blog! This blog is all about the commentary feedback I was given from friends and family members. I have spoken about this topic before in two different blogs if you go back and look for them, they are under re-editing blogs and re-shooting blogs. These two blogs were about people looking at my film and commenting about little mistakes or anything that seemed off in the film that the team and I had to either re-edit or re-shoot. Well in this full blog, I want to summarize everything that some people said about the full film. In my past blogs, when people saw my film, it was either the beginning parts of the film or maybe halfway through the finished project, in this case, I had two other people comment on the actual finished film. Although the editing and the filming process were done, there was still work to do, it is just that the actual filming and editing were the hardest part and the most time-consuming if I say so myself. Any who,...

Hey there everybody! Welcome back, it is a new day and it is time for a new blog! For today's blog, I want to talk about some conflicts my. group faced during the process of filming. You might think because we are all friends we all got along through filming and coordinating things, but oh no, let me tell you, there were some pretty rough conflicts but in the end, everything came together, and remembered that this project is for fun and to not be so serious about it. One of the conflicts my team faced which I would not be surprised other teams also faced was the creative difference between the group members, reaching an understanding of the project's direction might be challenging when group members have divergent creative perspectives, everyone wanted their ideas to be heard and to be used but if that happened the project would have become a mess with everything being complicated and all over the place. This at some point resulted in disagreements and inattention within the g...

Hello there! It is time for a new blog! Today I want to talk about the process the team and I had to go through to decide on what theme the film was going to be, each of us could input different themes and the one with the most votes is what will be done. After a while, five themes were chosen, these themes were comedy, mystery, friendship, thriller, and lastly, action, after a bit the team and I narrowed it down to two themes, and those themes were thriller and mystery, many would say they are pretty much the same but they are so very wrong. In a mystery movie, the main character usually has to figure out a conundrum or an offense. Compared to a thriller, the tone is usually slower and more reflective, with a greater focus on creating suspense via the conversation, setting, and development of characters. The main character's mission is to discover the truth and identify the offender. A thriller film's main focus is usually its compelling plot, which frequently ...

Hello there! Welcome back to a new blog, in this blog I want to talk about the overall problems I faced while making this project, not specifically filming and editing but overall, so let us jump right in. One problem was budget constraints, when the team and I picked out the place where I was going to film it was decided to film at the South Florida Fair let me remind you guys that I am a high school student and I do not have money laying around to go to the fair and buy tickets and I think my team members could say the same thing, tickets, and bracelets were expensive and so it was decided to not pay to get on any rides unless it was necessary, another thing the team did was split the entree fee evenly so then no one had to pay more than they had too. In continue, scheduling was a very tough problem the whole team was facing, the team and I had to go over many dates so everyone could be pleased with the date, but most of the team had to do stuff after work li...

Hello there! Welcome back to a new blog! Today we will talk about editing, but this time as you can tell by the title of this blog, RE-EDITING!! Not everything comes out perfectly the first time you do anything, because if you read my filming blogs, I really expressed the problems the team and I had when it came to filming and re-shooting scenes, and the same goes for editing. Some reasons why I thought I should edit some sense in the film is because our film could've used a little more improvement for the audience, some scenes looked very choppy and not smooth at all because of the amount of cutting I was doing to some clips because they were way too long but because of that the scenes felt like something was missing so I tried to fix that so then the audience wouldn't feel like the film was missing something or weren't satisfied by the actual pace of the film. Another reason why I decided to re-edit the film is that I had a friend watch part of the film, I guess you coul...

Hello there! Welcome back to my blog!! Today we are going to talk about an important topic for this project which is music!! First of all, before talking about the music choosing the group and I were looking for the background noise of the film, I want to talk about why choosing the correct music is important and my overall music is important for a film. When creating a movie, music plays a crucial role in arousing emotions and establishing the tone and ambiance of the picture. Excitement, mystery, and suspense may all be evoked by music. It may help me communicate crucial information or emotions, set the tone and setting for a scenario, and establish a certain environment. I may give my film a mysterious atmosphere by selecting the appropriate soundtrack. Using a piece of enigmatic and menacing music to heighten the suspense and create a feeling of curiosity is one of the best strategies. A mysterious or dramatic sound effect can inspire a sense of mystery and ...

Hello everybody, and welcome back to my blog, to recap my previous blog I talked about my bad experiences with editing, but I also mentioned in the end that even though I was struggling in the editing department I also learned some good things. One main thing is that filmmaking can offer many benefits to both personal and professional growth. First of all, editing has helped me enhance my technological skills, e diting involves a high level of technical expertise and understanding, which may be applied to various aspects of production beyond the editing process. Understanding how editing works may help me get a better understanding of film technology, making me a more useful contributor to any project that I might do in the future. Adding on to that another thing I learned is the foundation of collaboration, film editing is frequently a team effort, and I have experienced this sense I have been put into a group to help each other out during our editing and filming process....

Hello there everybody, I am back again and with. new blog for today, to recap the last two blogs I talked about, I was talking about my dislikes and likes about filming, but in this blog, I am going to focus on what happens after filming which is editing. In my own opinion, I did mention before that filming was my favorite part of doing this project, editing, on the other hand, was not the thing I was so excited to participate in but it was bearable. When everybody was picking out their roles for the final task my role was to film but after filming there we a lot of clips put together so as a group decision, everybody took different parts of what to edit. There were a lot of obstacles that came my way I was in charge of adding in a dissolving scene which meant that the start of the clip the starting scene was going to be pixilated to the point you could not see the original scene and then the pixels will merge back together to show a different scene. I will say this was th...

Hello there! Welcome back, I am very pumped to talk more about my filming experience, like I said in my last blog I had so much fun being able to film and I was very fond of being the cameraman. If I remember correctly I only talked about the things I really liked or enjoyed doing during the filming process but even though it was fun and all it did not mean there were parts of the day I felt awkward or stressed while filming. So in this blog, I want to focus on and talk about the things I disliked while filming. To start one of the things I did not enjoy while filming was the stares that I got while filming, in all honesty, I should have expected it since the team and I filmed in a very public place which was the South Florida Fair. The stares were pretty weird and made me feel uncomfortable but I tried to ignore the people who stared because it was getting really distracting and ruined some scenes because I would start to divert the camera away from the actors and t...

Hello there again! It is me! I am so happy I can finally talk about my filming process with everyone, it really has been an awesome journey. This final task has been so much fun to do and I enjoyed it so much, in my opinion, I really liked the filming process of this task. I might be a bit biased since I did most of the filming but it is my journey. So in this blog, I will talk about some things I really liked doing as the designated camera person. When my group started to pick out who was going to do what such as who was going to edit, film, and act, I volunteered to film and I am very happy that I was able to film. I will say that I was not the best filmer in the world but I think all of the shots came out pretty well at the end. I had the choice to use a camera that was provided by the school, my own phone, or one of my teammate's phones to film, although I thought filming with the camera just because it would seem very cool I thought that if I filmed with my own phone it would ...

The opening credits of the film will fade into the film and fade out, in the middle of the screen. Some credits, though few, will also fade into the scenes. For example, credits will fade in the left corner which would be the grass of the fair, or on the right of the top screen. Working Title: The title of this film is likely to be “The Fun Fair” It will be in a font called "courier" and it will be in all Caps: SOMETHING ALONG THIS STYLE. Titles will all fade into the film and also fade out of the film. All titles will disappear after 2 or 3 seconds but the main title will disappear in 4 or 5 seconds. Depending on the color of the scene I will be using black and white font. It will look something like this: FILMED BY: JENNIFER HERNANDEZ The first name of the person who holds the job will be 2 sizes larger than the rest of the words. FILMED BY: JENNIFER HERNANDEZ. This will also apply to the main title is will be 4 times the bigger size than the smaller titles.
