Peer Review Blog

Hello there everybody! Welcome back to a new blog! This blog is all about the commentary feedback I was given from friends and family members. I have spoken about this topic before in two different blogs if you go back and look for them, they are under re-editing blogs and re-shooting blogs. These two blogs were about people looking at my film and commenting about little mistakes or anything that seemed off in the film that the team and I had to either re-edit or re-shoot. Well in this full blog, I want to summarize everything that some people said about the full film. In my past blogs, when people saw my film, it was either the beginning parts of the film or maybe halfway through the finished project, in this case, I had two other people comment on the actual finished film. Although the editing and the filming process were done, there was still work to do, it is just that the actual filming and editing were the hardest part and the most time-consuming if I say so myself. Any who, whe

Production blog: Conflicts between our group

Image
Hey there everybody! Welcome back, it is a new day and it is time for a new blog! For today's blog, I want to talk about some conflicts my. group faced during the process of filming. You might think because we are all friends we all got along through filming and coordinating things, but oh no, let me tell you, there were some pretty rough conflicts but in the end, everything came together, and remembered that this project is for fun and to not be so serious about it. One of the conflicts my team faced which I would not be surprised other teams also faced was the creative difference between the group members, reaching an understanding of the project's direction might be challenging when group members have divergent creative perspectives, everyone wanted their ideas to be heard and to be used but if that happened the project would have become a mess with everything being complicated and all over the place. This at some point resulted in disagreements and inattention within the g

Production blog: Let's talk about out theme!!

Image
Hello there! It is time for a new blog! Today I want to talk about the process the team and I had to go through to decide on what theme the film was going to be, each of us could input different themes and the one with the most votes is what will be done. After a while, five themes were chosen, these themes were comedy, mystery, friendship, thriller, and lastly, action, after a bit the team and I narrowed it down to two themes, and those themes were thriller and mystery, many would say they are pretty much the same but they are so very wrong. In a mystery movie, the main character usually has to figure out a conundrum or an offense. Compared to a thriller, the tone is usually slower and more reflective, with a greater focus on creating suspense via the conversation, setting, and development of characters. The main character's mission is to discover the truth and identify the offender. A thriller film's main focus is usually its compelling plot, which frequently combines as

Production Blog: So many problems

Image
Hello there! Welcome back to a new blog, in this blog I want to talk about the overall problems I faced while making this project, not specifically filming and editing but overall, so let us jump right in. One problem was budget constraints, when the team and I picked out the place where I was going to film it was decided to film at the South Florida Fair let me remind you guys that I am a high school student and I do not have money laying around to go to the fair and buy tickets and I think my team members could say the same thing, tickets, and bracelets were expensive and so it was decided to not pay to get on any rides unless it was necessary, another thing the team did was split the entree fee evenly so then no one had to pay more than they had too. In continue, scheduling was a very tough problem the whole team was facing,  the team and I had to go over many dates so everyone could be pleased with the date, but most of the team had to do stuff after work like work or spots so

Re-editing Blog: Lets fix this!

Image
Hello there! Welcome back to a new blog! Today we will talk about editing, but this time as you can tell by the title of this blog, RE-EDITING!! Not everything comes out perfectly the first time you do anything, because if you read my filming blogs, I really expressed the problems the team and I had when it came to filming and re-shooting scenes, and the same goes for editing. Some reasons why I thought I should edit some sense in the film is because our film could've used a little more improvement for the audience, some scenes looked very choppy and not smooth at all because of the amount of cutting I was doing to some clips because they were way too long but because of that the scenes felt like something was missing so I tried to fix that so then the audience wouldn't feel like the film was missing something or weren't satisfied by the actual pace of the film. Another reason why I decided to re-edit the film is that I had a friend watch part of the film, I guess you coul
