Music Blog: Let's choose a song
Hello there! Welcome back to my blog!! Today we are going to talk about an important topic for this project which is music!! First of all, before talking about the music choosing the group and I were looking for the background noise of the film, I want to talk about why choosing the correct music is important and my overall music is important for a film. When creating a movie, music plays a crucial role in arousing emotions and establishing the tone and ambiance of the picture. Excitement, mystery, and suspense may all be evoked by music. It may help me communicate crucial information or emotions, set the tone and setting for a scenario, and establish a certain environment. I may give my film a mysterious atmosphere by selecting the appropriate soundtrack. Using a piece of enigmatic and menacing music to heighten the suspense and create a feeling of curiosity is one of the best strategies. A mysterious or dramatic sound effect can inspire a sense of mystery and danger, while a slow, ominous tune might provoke feelings of dread and foreboding. A piece of eerie and frightening music may also aid in creating the mood for a mystery or thriller movie. I may develop an environment of risk and unpredictability by utilizing music to heighten tension and anxiety. This approach increases viewer engagement and raises awareness of the possible danger inherent in a film's narrative. I may efficiently create a sense of mystery and maintain viewer attention by employing music to establish the tone and setting of my work. Now that I have established why music is so important to media, especially to film overall I want to talk about the music I had to hear for this project. So the genre of this film was an overall mystery so obviously the team and I had to listen to eerie music because it is not like I could choose a relaxing or happy, upbeat sound since it would throw off the audiences from the plot. At first, I wanted to use a song which was called: Strange Encounters by Markus Gleissner. It was a good-sounding song but then I remembered that I could not choose that song because of copyright laws, and if I were to use that song I would have to email the artist to ask permission to legally use their song but it was a little too late to do that since I would never know when they will respond back and that even if they respond at all, but one of my teammates had the great idea of just getting the song right out of YoutTube, it was a good idea but I still mentioned that copyright laws still apply even if a song was chosen from YouTube, but then she told me that I could use free diamond music which is music that does not copyright so I can use it without having to write an email to the artist to use the song without getting in trouble. Now that I know this information, the team and I are still looking into some songs that are provided and soon enough the song will be embedded into the video in no time. Well, that is it for today's blog, goodbye for now!
