Editing Blog: My editing process
Hello everybody, and welcome back to my blog, to recap my previous blog I talked about my bad experiences with editing, but I also mentioned in the end that even though I was struggling in the editing department I also learned some good things. One main thing is that filmmaking can offer many benefits to both personal and professional growth. First of all, editing has helped me enhance my technological skills, editing involves a high level of technical expertise and understanding, which may be applied to various aspects of production beyond the editing process. Understanding how editing works may help me get a better understanding of film technology, making me a more useful contributor to any project that I might do in the future. Adding on to that another thing I learned is the foundation of collaboration, film editing is frequently a team effort, and I have experienced this sense I have been put into a group to help each other out during our editing and filming process. Also learning how to collaborate with additional editors and directors will help me further my career while opening up fresh career possibilities. Learning how to edit allows me to cooperate more successfully with other people, and my talents may be in great demand in the business if I pursue a career in editing, which will probably not happen since it is not my strong suit for this project. Thirdly, I learned how to increase my creative freedom, editing has enabled me to realize my creative ideals, and understanding its methods and procedures will offer me complete control over all aspects of my work. As a beginner editor, I have authority over my film's timing, rhythm, and framework, as well as its visual and aural composition. Finally, the last thing I want to say before I end today's blog is that editing has taught me to improve my storytelling skills, I understand now that editing is an important component of the process of making a film, and knowing how to edit will allow me to create stronger tales by creating cohesive and captivating narratives. By learning the skill of editing, I can make intriguing teasers, short films, and full-length movies that engage and fascinate viewers. In the end, even though I have had a bumpy road with learning how to edit good things have come out of this, well this is goodbye for now, see you in the next blog!
