CCR: Questions about my project

https://docs.google.com/document/d/1pSm6q7kbALH10Ycw3Ae_w3gmwckziCQH1PpaN7mj9JI/edit?usp=sharing How does your product use or challenge conventions AND how does it represent social groups or issues?  The way my product uses conventions is that it pictures the genre of friendship alongside using music to picture the genre. My product would show more of a story convention because it follows two people hanging out and becoming closer which each other, and the song will add to the story because the music choice suggests love even though the story itself does not show any romance between the two characters, it suggest that love can mean many other things such as creating strong bond between to people as friends. The way this represents social groups is because the video shows a circle of friends or rather just two friends and a way this can connect to an issue is that many people think that having a lot of friends is better than just one because it seems lame but in reality, it is bette...

Production Blog: Let's get the editing over with!

Image
Hello there, I am back, so this is my last production for this project, but not to fear it won't be my last blog. This last production blog will talk about the finishing touches of the music video, the filming has been done for this music video, and the only thing that is left to do is edit, in my last production blog I talked about the minor stepbacks the team and I had but how it was resolved. In the previous blog, I talked about how I already started editing part of the music video, I will not edit the whole video because that would take too much work so I would rather split the work in half and give the other half of the work to my partner Gabriel, so he can also be part of the experience of editing the music video. Even though the music video was edited by Gabriel and me, this blog isn't about him but about my journey to editing the music video so let us get it started. All of the clips that were filmed for the music video were put in the editing app that I was using to ed...

Production Blog: Lets Start The Editting

Image
Hello there, I'm back, in the last blog I wrote about how my group finished filming the last scenes, now it is time for editing, so before I can start talking about the process I went through editing I want to talk about a few changes that happened in the clips, so as I said before, Kason who was a member in my team had to leave because he was no longer part of the school, but together Gabriel and I convinced him to help film because even though he left the group, he still has own up to his responsibility of helping the team. So, even though he technically wasn't part of the team he helped us out, so because the cameraman was back, I decided to film again so the shots looked better so I could show that everyone did the best they could. In the storyboard, there was a scene that the team and I redid which was the mall scene, when Gabriel watched the mall scene it turned out that the camera was shacky and looked very blurry, so I didn't want to use that in the music vide...

Production blog: Lights, Camera, Action!

Hello there again! It is me again! In this blog I will be talking about the last two scenes my group had to do so we could finally edit. So in my last blog, I talked about how I filmed one of the scenes in my house, and how I needed help from my brother to film my shots, but because these three other scenes were filmed outside of my home it wasn't like I could bring my, brother, along with me to help us film just because the third member of our group left and he was our camera. I will say it was a very bad time for him to leave but there was nothing to do about it. Now let us move on and talk about my time filming with Gabriel, even though half our group was gone, both of us did our best to shoot good clips, on one day we went to the park, and the first shot was a tilt shot and there wasnt anyone on the first shot so it was easy to just film because either of us could've filmed, not for the second and third shot was something a bit tricky. The last two shots of the se...

Production Blog: Get the camera rolling!

Hey there! I am back yay!,  I am bringing along good but at the same time some bad news. To have an idea of what this blog will be about I will be talking about my filming progress. Yes, yes finally my group has filmed hooray! To refresh, in my last blog, I was describing what the first scene to be filmed was going to be so that is what I will be talking about. As I wrote in the last blog, this scene was to be filmed at home, I will say it was pretty tricky to film without the cameraman but nothing that I couldn't find a solution to. In the storyboard, the bedroom scene starts off with a shot clip of the outside of my home so it can establish where the scene is taken from, the next shot was me in my bedroom, on my bed texting the other person, for this scene was a bit tricky because I was taking the video from my phone, but I needed a phone to show in the video, so I looked through my old stuff and found my old phone from three years ago. The way the video is tak...

Production Blog- Problems and Stepbacks

Image
So hey there! I am back! So there's been a bit of backtracking about filming. It's not too big it's just that scheduling is all over the place but hopefully by the next blog I will be able to write about my first shot. So what am I going to talk about in this blog? Well I am going to talk about one of the scenes that will not need my other teammates, so this scene is about me in my own room texting, I thought this was a good idea when the team and I were developing the scenes for our music video. If in case one day one of the team members was not available to meet in person, like say the camera person, I wouldn't need to freak out because I would have a scene in which I could videotape myself without the need of my teammates to help me. Everyone thought it was a good idea so I incorporated that scene into the music video. In the planning of the video I was going to videotape tape and my teammate, Elizabeth, was going to play the female role in the music video alongside...
