Production blog: Lights, Camera, Action!

Hello there again! It is me again! In this blog I will be talking about the last two scenes my group had to do so we could finally edit. So in my last blog, I talked about how I filmed one of the scenes in my house, and how I needed help from my brother to film my shots, but because these three other scenes were filmed outside of my home it wasn't like I could bring my, brother, along with me to help us film just because the third member of our group left and he was our camera. I will say it was a very bad time for him to leave but there was nothing to do about it. Now let us move on and talk about my time filming with Gabriel, even though half our group was gone, both of us did our best to shoot good clips, on one day we went to the park, and the first shot was a tilt shot and there wasnt anyone on the first shot so it was easy to just film because either of us could've filmed, not for the second and third shot was something a bit tricky. The last two shots of the second scene that was filmed had me and Gabriel involved in the scene so there wasn't a third person to hold the phone to film, so what I did was place the phone on the ground which then the phone leaned against the tree so then it can capture. low angle of Gabriel and I acting out the scene, it was a good solution because when the video was played to see if it came out good, it turned out better than I expected, it didn't look the best but the idea wasn't bad at all so I proposed to do the scene again but angle the camera in another way so the low angle would capture us perfectly because, in the first try, the phone was slanted so in the video the bench wasn't very visible. At last, after another try, the clips were perfect and ready to edit another time. Moving on the last two scene that was filmed was the mall scene and the last scene, the beach scene, in these scenes, there was no way for Gabriel or me to film because the camera wasn't in a fixed position but was more like a tracking shot, so I decided to ask one of my friends to tag along and help film Gabriel and I, asking my friend to help was the best choice that I could've ever made because if I couldn't find someone to film, Gabriel and I would have to think of another scene and how it was going to be acted ant that would've just taken up more time in which both of us don't have anyways. It has been tough with a lot of situations getting in the way of the project but everything turned out well, so I'm glad. Well, that's it, goodbye for now!
